I remember reading in one of Dostoyevsky's novels that there is a
Russian saying to the effect: "You can't have a real fool unless it
graduates from the University" (I'm paraphrasing here from memory). We
apparently have plethora on University grads embellishing this forum
who don't seem capable of finding their way out of a paper bag. These
are the people with Masters degrees who spend the rest of their lives
peeing on their shoes.

Maggies are terrible. My Maggies are humongous, and are probably the
least efficient speakers ever built (at 82 db!) But their maggic
(spelling error intentional) in sound is unsurpassed, so I'm resigned
to living with this humongous compromise.

A friend of mine is using a T-amp driven off a battery, and it sounds
simply amazing, like some of the best tube amps I've heard (of course,
he is careful to use 98 db sensitivity speakers). These amps are giant
killers indeed (they retail for what -- $60 a piece?)

I tell ya, mains cable upgrades may be one of the most dramatic
improvements I've experienced since the olden days when I've first
tried your TT2.0.
