Klaus, I am after the best sound from my Touch and I think I have found it with the TT3.0 settings and Win 7 core affinity/process priority and MMCSS settings.
Now TT3.0 is your invention, very well done, fantastic work, except for the priority/buffer mods not being to my taste. The other recommendations on your TT3.0 blog are discoveries which you have come across tried and found to work, I doubt that you were the first to come across these discoveries. The Win 7 core affinity/process priority and MMCSS settings via process lasso is a discovery, just as removing the toslink, adjusting the screen,using default priorities were discoveries. It concerns me that you are rejecting these latest tweaks without even trying them, I have tried all your suggested tweaks apart from hardwiring the coax to the dac and have tried loads of others, that is the nature of scientific discovery or evolution, if you will. I don't care if people associate these recommendations to TT4.0 or anyone else that wants to use them and append their name to them, if that is what floats their boat.
