true. and I'm familiar with folks doing just that. And in some cases
this helps tremendously in theory development that can then lead to
more controlled testing. 

And to be clear, I'm for all sorts of playing around to have fun at the
audio hobby. But when someone lays out for me a comparison/situation
where a VERY SIMPLE single-blind comparison would provide a rigorous
test of their assertion, I'm troubled when they won't even try.
