we are talking as pure digital transport not considering any costly DAC's or analog outputs then "yes" . and in this case I live as I learn, my meridian dealer do try to sell me soloos reguraly to no avail. The say it " sounds better" I ask " why " :) Do any of them offer clock input like the transporter does ? is any of these a good DAC on it's own ? If the device has a top notch DAC and excellent analog outs, you may buy more features than you need. Or if you do need a DAC it migth not be a total waste, just very expensive. But it is very hard to beat Touch + your favorite DAC . can't you get one of weiss simpler pro models and a Touch for this kind of $$ or any other of the good ones or even cheaper, for example the latest audiolab dac that seems very interesting and not obscenely pricy ? I'm obviusly conditioned to sbs/lms features and plugins and any other streaming solution must be unbelievable good to ofsett this. -- Mnyb -------------------------------------------------------------------- Main hifi: Touch + CIA PS +MeridianG68J MeridianHD621 MeridianG98DH 2 x MeridianDSP5200 MeridianDSP5200HC 2 xMeridianDSP3100 +Rel Stadium 3 sub.
