They were maybe 10 years old... late 70's... I heard several examples
whilst "window shopping"... but the 44 is a much better pre-amp than
the noisy old 33 and the 66/606 is very nice - especially with 989's. I
do like Quad gear generally - just not the 33/303 combo.
