There's a thread on the Steve Hoffman site just recently where a guy goes into the local B&W room to listen to some Stooges "Raw Power" and the salesman commented on how it was the worst thing he had heard :-). Now I don't suppose any system can rescue Raw Power, but it just goes to show the variety of musical tastes. Those light jazz albums, female vocal tracks are great to show off but I don't generally find them that revealing. They generally will sound good on any decent system. When auditioning, I always bring some explosive classical, AC/DC or equivalent hard rock, R&B, and modern compressed pop to make sure they sound OK. -- Archimago ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Archimago's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=2207 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=93320 _______________________________________________ audiophiles mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/audiophiles
