Yep - got to be careful with those unlimited transients. a guitar
pickup can easily put out 20+ volts... Of course guitar amplifier
manufacturers know this and let their input stages overload and their
power stages sag to avoid destroying even the 12 or 15 inch drivers!
I used to have a cabinet used by Jon Lord of Deep Purple (you can see
it or one just like it on the cover of Made in Japan)... It was a
Custom made Marshall with a massive compression driver  for the top
end. If you put a 100w valve amp through that the sound was
indescribably loud... And dangerous, It was also made of 1 inch marine
ply and the heaviest thing I've ever tried to lift...
