you didn't compare two SBTs without hardware mods. Since the stock SBT sounded better than the modified one which modification changed the sound in a negative way: the hardware mods or the TT3? It seems the hardware mods are on trial as much as the TT3 in your evaluation. So maybe hardware mods are also snake oil?
