Or of course c) touch - S/PDIF out -competent DAC with coax in. d) touch- usb out- compentent DAC with usb in Why bother spending money on an extra box? if the receiver in your dac isn't able to cope with the touch S/PDIF out, why not buy a dac with a decent receiver. If the reciver isn't able to cope with the SBT S/PDIF out it may well not be able to cope with the audiophilio/synchomesh S/PDIF out.
