Tried the setting last night... Sounds good :-) not sure I can tell a
difference though.  will listen more.

One thought I had was whether someone with a compiler has the know-how
to maybe compile a custom version of SOX which *only* upsamples if the
input sampling rate is lower (ie. only upsample if 44 or 48 kHz would
convert to 88kHz). I wonder how difficult this would be in the SOX
source code. Assuming it's well documented, may not be too hard.
