Hi, Currently feeding a Pink Triangle Ordinal (with 24 bit Filter module) from a SB3 with CI-Audio PSU.
Infact using both inputs on the PT Ordinal, as I have a second input card (DIC) so 16/44.1 from a Meridian 200 CD Transport and 16/44.1, 24/44.1 & 24/48 from the SB3 using a mixture of FLAC, ALAC, ACC and MP3 formats. The 24-bit tracks coming from DVD-A & SACD rips and some purchases from HDTracks, Naim and Linn. Tracks are stored on a ReadyNAS Duo (with 1TB disks & 1GB RAM) with wireless connection to the SB3. However does anyone tried or use this DAC with a SBT or Transporter with a 24/96 or 24/88.2 stream? Does it work? I was surprise given the age of the DAC that it worked with a 24-bit stream, but suspect it can't handle anything more than a 48kHz input, but would like to give it a try. Also have a TAG AV32R (SP) that will take a 24/96 input, however in comparisons with the PT Ordinal, it doesn't sound as musical or refined. The AV32R works very well as a HT processor on DD & DTS soundtracks from a Tag DVD32FLR DVD Transport, AppleTV (1st Gen) & Cable HD-STB - but that's what it was design to do. If not then the upgrade to 24/96 (& beyond) needs a new DAC as well as a SBT or some-other streamer. If so, then I can just upgrade to a SBT, keeping LMS etc. Oh yes, the PT Ordinal feeds into a SIM Audio i3 with B&W N805 on the 805 stands (with aqua-gravel filling). Thanks, Simon. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ simes_pep's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=37853 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=72018 _______________________________________________ audiophiles mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/audiophiles
