I depends , but you cant "overdrive" the DAC so 100% is perfectly ok and
the only setting that yields bitperfect transfer, would possibly get you
the highest s/n ratio on the DAC if that can be heard .
So 100% would be best sound quality into a DAC ( with a few exceptions
that are not properly designed ) .
100% would be what a normal CD player would do, for comparison .

If you want a remote volume and your other stuff does not provide garys
advice is perfectly ok .

If the Kandy has a usable volume control id use that and keep the SB at
100% all the time .

Exception would be if the Kandy has to much gain (you barely uses the
volume knob ) or to sensitive inputs (the rdac overdrives the kandy )
but then there is inline attenuators for that problem .
