I depends , but you cant "overdrive" the DAC so 100% is perfectly ok and the only setting that yields bitperfect transfer, would possibly get you the highest s/n ratio on the DAC if that can be heard . So 100% would be best sound quality into a DAC ( with a few exceptions that are not properly designed ) . 100% would be what a normal CD player would do, for comparison . If you want a remote volume and your other stuff does not provide garys advice is perfectly ok . If the Kandy has a usable volume control id use that and keep the SB at 100% all the time . Exception would be if the Kandy has to much gain (you barely uses the volume knob ) or to sensitive inputs (the rdac overdrives the kandy ) but then there is inline attenuators for that problem . ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Mnyb's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=4143 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=96760 _______________________________________________ audiophiles mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/audiophiles
