Thanks for the feedback; but this is not the issue; reducing the file path+name length does not resolve the problem. I suspect the issue is either because faad.exe cannot output a valid wav (or pcm) when it is being fed an 88/24 feed, or that sox.exe cannot convert an 88/24 wav (or pcm) to a pcm (or aif).
