Indeed. The transcoding path from alac to flac is via faad.exe (alac to wav) and then sox.exe (wav to flac), and whilst this does work fine on 44/16, 48/16, 44/24 and 96/24, it seems that it does *not* work on 88/24. And to speculate somewhat, sox.exe is a pretty savvy and well documented piece of software, whereas faad.exe is not, so I am betting that it is faad.exe that cannot handle the 88/24 alac to wav conversion... ------------------------------------------------------------------------ AndrewFG's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=15838 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=97142 _______________________________________________ audiophiles mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/audiophiles
