Perhaps my understanding is wrong here, but I understand that the Softsqueeze software can be used instead of a Logitech Receiver.
If that's the case - then instead of trying to re-program the SBT in order to allow music to flow out of the USB port, can you instead install 'Softsqueeze' on a netbook (or similar) - then of course plug in your favourite async USB DAC into the netbook and work it that way (you are in essence using the netbook as the Logitech reciever)? The netbook then has the additional (arguably) 'audiophile' advantages of a faster processor (lower latency) and can run off battery (clean power supply). Also I understand that Softsqueeze can be installed on Unix based operating systems so something light such as Puppy Linux could be used as the supporting operating system! ------------------------------------------------------------------------ stop-spinning's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=43254 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=97248 _______________________________________________ audiophiles mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/audiophiles
