Or so an audiophile assumes (an assumption the high end manufacturers
often rely on) ....

Case in point the Oppo BD player rebadged as a Lexicon "high end" BD
player.  How many audiophiles were duped into this name plate at 7x the
price when it is the same hardware?  Paying a $3k premium for a name
(i.e. bling) is often just what they are counting on.


Oppo BDP-83 = $499 MSRP

Lexicon BD-30 = $3500 MSRP
