Honestly don't think I've ever been able to hear differences between decent digital cables; coax or TosLink. For my 2-channel listening, I have downstairs the Transporter (Behringer DEQ2496 digital loop for room EQ via TosLink) --> Simaudio Moon i3.3 --> Paradigm Signature S8. (Apparently I like my Canadian audio :-) In the longer term, I'm actually interested in making the room into a good surround setup so still evaluating options around digital surround processors + amp.
