Yes, the E1 is based on the same chipset. The reason I want to have a look is: 1. I'll be comparing the same DAC adaptive vs. asynchronous but with an SPDIF intermediate to see if a case can be made for those USB --> SPDIF interfaces in terms of jitter reduction. 2. I'll get a chance to see if the same "spectral smearing" is present between USB2 & USB3 ports I reported with the E1 using this interface. If not, then maybe there's something odd with the E1 and its drivers. If there is, it suggests something unusual with the CM6631 and the computer motherboard chipsets. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Archimago's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=2207 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=97950 _______________________________________________ audiophiles mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/audiophiles
