Logitech Media server has had many years since the old Slim Devices days
to work out all the bugs associated with player control software. 

I ,like others here bought the original Slim Devices Squeezebox and I
can tell you the software back then was loaded with bugs. 

Today,LMS stands as probably the best software in its class even though
the hardware is no longer manufactured.
