I too have had a very good experience with the Duets. Mine are both wireless and have been very solid. My wife uses the controllers exclusively, but I now use OrangeSqueeze or the WebUI as my preferred controllers. One of my Duets gets moved twice a year between 2 locations and I now have setup down to the point where it's about a 5 minute process when the unit is moved!
I watch the "Squeeze on Arch", "Picoreplayer" and "Wandboard" threads in hopes that one of these projects will come up as a replacement in the event that one of my receivers ever fails. Right now none of these projects seems to be to the level of reliability I've come to enjoy with my wireless Duet units. Is it because these projects are trying to be way more than just a client? I have my LMS on a very reliable WHS2011 box and a Windows 7 box in the other location and have no desire move to another platform. Do any of these "project" platforms match the Duet receiver reliability if implemented as just a player? 2 Duets - 1 for upstairs and 1 for downstairs Rock Solid with LMS 7.8.0 and WHS 2011 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ w3wilkes's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=22973 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=100948 _______________________________________________ audiophiles mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/audiophiles
