Hi All, Thanks so much for great suggestions. I really appreciate them. I have been doing as much listening as I can here in Spokane, WA but really I'm limited to a "Huppins HiFi" store, which also runs OneCall.com and a "Guitar Center" store. Huppins is the only audiophile store in town but their selection of powered speakers is sadly lacking. Guitar Center has a larger selection but their speakers tend toward "monitor" style and are not Audiophile quality. One I was looking at there was the JBL SR305, a very inexpensive speaker that none the less sounds OK. I think my best move will be to head to Seattle and hit a number of true music stores to try out some of the speakers you have recommended.
Also, I am thoroughly enjoying the various threads that have been starting up lately, good stuff.
