Only just noticed your replies to my post. I have tried to illustrate what I meant on this here. I was under the impression that pre/post ringing and and pre/post echo were two -different- things- the latter being the time domain result of the rippling in the frequency response of a filter. I assume that the two purple lines which appear in the filtered frequency sweep [bottom right] represent pre/post-echo. I only see this effect on the bottom row, whereas the ringing appears on the first and second row too. If I am wrong about this, please show where you think the pre-echo is.
