You are right in the mass market software context. This software is for niche market, small volume sales and is supported by their creators. In the HiFi world 450 $ are peanuts ;) For me software which does crossovers and DRC for 10 channels at this price is still ok. I'm convinced that this is the most valuable expense in an audio system way ahead of any other piece of equipment. I suggest that anyone interested tries the free and paid software. The most important is to use DRC at first. Chris
