Sighted tests are the natural choice when it comes to visual information
in pictures. It's quite easy to compare the quality of two pictures on a
table in front of you or to compare two existing modes on a TV by
switching rapidly between them.

However audio is different. The auditory memory is short, fragile and
easily exhaustible. The listening experience is also influenced by your
mood etc. Therefore testing is much harder to conduct properly. It helps
a great deal to have at least one toe on terra firma.

Last but not least. How do you evaluate a device that you don't have in
your possession? Evaluating three TVs that are all in different parts of
the world is not so easy.
