I have been using a Transporter for close to ten years and I have plenty of 24/96 and 24/88.2 files which I regularly play using the Transporter. Since my Transporter is connected via Wi-Fi about the only issue I ever encounter when playing 24/88.2 or 24/96 files is the occasional sputtering and rebuffering caused by network issues. I have never heard any pops and clicks when playing 24/88.2 or 24/96 files.
