If you keep running the same bluff sooner or later someone will call
you...

I'm reminded of the scene from the above where Bill Murray encounters
Sigourney Weaver after some years of estrangement and suggests
revisiting their relationship. She knowingly says "Oh no, not the same
old cheap tricks!", to which he responds, "It's all new cheap tricks
this week... ".

I have personally found this revelation most helpful in keeping ahead of
the game subsequently :D.
