Dear Jim

The other software you can try is Primavera Project Planner (P3). But this is very sophisticated and high end application on complex project management. Still higher end is Oracle Projects.

I have used MS Project, Primavera & learned many aspects of Oracle Projects

The evaluation of the software to be made on many factors. Following are the general & obvious factors :
the use of the software e.g. what type of project you are planning to manage,
the complexity,
the budget available
the existing IT facilities, &
general skill level of user

please provide some information on above factors, if you like, for  my prima facie assessment of your case.

Hi

Has anyone used MS projects for project management. I am trying to
evaluate various project management software. Is there any other project
management software that you know of?
