aufs1 supports 2.6.18.
But your kernel might be modified heavily by your distribution. So I am
not sure you can compile aufs1 successfully.
If you compile aufs1, enable IMOD, and specify "imod:0:ro" instead of
"mod:bin=ro". The number 0 specifies the index of the branch.
In other word, specify your branch by its index instead of it name.
