Actually I have made some patches for such users. See $AufsCVS/aufs/patch dir. I made them because several users asked me. But it may not include your kernel, CentOS/RedHat. I don't remember whether I have received several requests from those distrobiution. Currently I don't have a plan to develop patches for various kernels, because I don't have such large machine resources. When I have time and resources to develop a patch for CentOS, I will try. But don't expect me too much. By the way, I have developed a sample script (or environment) for aufs on netboot-ed diskless machine, $AufsCVS/aufs/sample/diskless. It includes sample linuxrc/init script. Additionally I have described a note about shutdown script. I hope they help you to understand aufs and make your system better. J. R.
