Hi AUFS users, I wonder if it's possible to export a directory containing multiple AUFS branches as a NFS share.
I tried and ls -al on the client shows only whiteout files on branch dir. The directory mounts OK and I can see files in non-AUFS directories. On the server, ls -al shows that the branch has branched files, as desired. I tried both external xino and no xino option. I have also tried both kernel NFS server and the userland one. When I export only one of the AUFS shares, they are seen on the client as desired. My kernel version is 2.6.18. It looks like somebody else has had this problem before but didn't respond - http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/msg01380.html I would be glad if you at least told me whether it's possible to do this and where should I read. If I succeed, I'll write and publish a brief howto.
