Unfortunately I cannot understand what you wrote. If you mean a case such like this, then you got wrong ML. - /tmp is ext2 - you have two dirs under /tmp, br1 and br2. - mount -t aufs -o br:/tmp/br1:/tmp/br2 none /au - export /tmp. (is this what you want to do?) - probably yes you can. but it is up to your filesystem of /tmp. in this sample, ext2. > I tried and ls -al on the client shows only whiteout files on branch dir.
