Here are the results:

I'm mounting an additional tmpfs which holds the contents of /var.
I've tried "/dev /proc /var" and it works fine.

No problem. All about your response time was very fast ;-)

By the way, I've got an answer from Vito Tafuni. He told me that he has no
problems with 2.6.27. I will try 2.6.27 tomorrow and report the results.
