I must have missed that. This isn't a big deal for us, since I think I
can get what I need in user-space with Modules.

aufs with davfs does work with a local filesystem, just not with another
aufs branch. I tested both the fuse and coda option for it, although our
DAV server is read-only so I didn't test writing to DAV.
