Dear list, I have come here to achieve a very special requirement. I carry squshfs file system in my pendrive. I have written a script which can mount the filesytem when ever I add my pendrive to my system ( with the help of udev rule ). I like to modify the script further to rsync some of important folders with this mounted sfs and I have come to know it is posible with unionfs.
I followed this link http://tldp.org/HOWTO/SquashFS-HOWTO/creatingandusing.html but not successful. My box is suse 11 Linux 2.6.27.19-3.2-default x86_64 During more google search to solve the problem with unionfs; I have come to know about aufs which is focused as more advanced and designed to address the problem of unionfs. So I think not to go for unionfs and do the same with aufs.
