I googled the message "page allocation failure. order:..." and found many similar reports within a long term (since 2.6.0?). If the message in LKML <http://marc.info/?l=linux-kernel&m=122520011707176&w=2> which is a part of the thread <http://marc.info/?l=linux-kernel&m=122506136822684&w=2> is correct, the fix in linux-2.6.26.6 will solve your problem. I will test (and modify if necessary) the fix with the ubuntu kernel in a few weeks. J. R.
