Essentially I cannot understand why you want to hide it.
Anyway I'd suggest you to try a readonly top branch (layer) to hide
lost+found.
For instance,
# mount /dev/sda1 /ro
# mount /dev/hda3 /rw
# mount -t tmpfs tmpfs /hide    (/hide can be anything as long as it is
                                outside of aufs)
# > /hide/.wh.lost+found
# mount -t aufs -o br:/hide=ro+wh:/rw=rw:/ro=ro none /u

To be honest, I have never tried the writable aufs mount whose first
branch is readonly. But I hope it will work for you.
