I have found that the aufs utilities in Debian/Wheezy, as the package aufs-tools_3.0+ does work with the 3.x series kernels. "Works" in the sense that it does not error exit from auplink. What it's internal feature support and correctness is, I do not know. I do agree with JRO's point - Even if he implemented ACL support tomorrow, it would be years before you saw it (if ever) in the Debian binaries. Best that you start following and building from his public git repositories for the auFS module and matching tools.
