No worries. I applied your patch and I've been able to reproduce the issue. I've attached the relevant parts of my /var/log/messages file. Note well: this time I reproduced the issue inside of a VirtualBox's image, I didn't want to screw up my workstation (I have to manually reset the system when the bug occurs).
