I didn't know such problem.
Your kernel, Ubuntu 14.04.3, is modified by ubuntu. For me, it is hard
to support non-vanilla kernel, because I am not an ubuntu user and I
have to check the modifications made by ubuntu people. If I had enough
time, I would try. But unfortunately (or fortunately) I am very busy
now. So if you can, try reproducing the problem on the vanilla kernel.

I saw one guy reported the problem happend with overlayfs.

I also had this issue.
Using docker 1.7.1 with overlay.
Running sync in between fixed it.
Thanks!

I am not sure this is aufs specific problem or not.

It means that ext2 with sync option is bad, right?
