Hello everybody. I noticed that man didn't work for me in Slax recently (based on Debian Buster) with the very same error message. And I found how to fix that. I had to disable apparmor. When I boot with apparmor=0 boot parameter, man works again I am not sure if there is a way to configure apparmor to stay active and allow aufs to work properly at the same time, but disabling apparmor entirely is OK solution for me for now.
