Hi

I get the pragmatism. I am not sure, though, that keeping the user subscribed wouldn't have taught them anything.

The lesson they could have learnt here is that throwing a temper tantrum & threatening people is not a good strategy. As an added bonus, they might have learnt how to unsubscribe (or use a search engine) :)

Kaur

Hi

Thanks. However, I consider the manual unsubscribing a mistake. No requests made using such tone should be granted, particularly if to consider that the art of leaving a mailing list isn't exactly rocket science.

I would have loved to see the 'complaint' made 'to the relevant authority' in this matter.

If there have recently been technical difficulties that have prevented users from unsubscribing then that's another matter. Still, that would in no way justify the tone.

Kaur

The tone is indeed not justified, but it's okay to be pragmatic when managing a mailing a list. Keeping the user on the list won't do anyone any good.

I suppose that may have happened. Another possibility is that it would have resulted in more emails with unjustified angry contents to darken our moods. Maybe I have too little faith in this person, but I certainly appreciate the preemptive resolution of the problem ^_^

Anyway, enjoy your time of day it currently is in your local timezone!

Kind regards,
