Speaking from experience, I recently upgraded my old, light green, Pajero
for a Black later model Pajero, emphasis on Black.

Subjectively, it is no hotter than the green one and cools at about the same
rate once the aircon is switched on.

 

I agree with Mike, the biggest influencing factor is the glass, not the
colour.

Black cars are a couple of degrees hotter than white ones on hot days but
not much. The problem is the heat gets in thru' the windows but can't get
out again --I believe glass is relatively impermeable to the infra-red part
of the spectrum.

You will find that the boot stays cooler than the interior of the car
regardless of color, especially in bright sunshine.
