And they got the comp numbers and rego back mixed up. AJ comp
numbers, but rego is XUJ, then look at the tail of the other behind
it, that has comp numbers of UJ. No way that could be confusing!
Maybe the paperwork for the Certificate of Registration (Assignment
of VH letters) mixed up the serial numbers of the gliders so that
contest AJ and UJ were swapped?
I'm sure certain people like Garry Morgan
http://www.morganaeroworks.com.au/motor%20glider.html would be
interested to know that Australia was one of the easiest places to
get an Experimental Airworthiness certificate. (It is not
"Registering" an aircraft as an
Experimental. The C of R and the C of A are two different things.)
I saw that aircraft a couple of years ago in Taree. He was waiting
for an Experimental certificate from GFA. IIRC it took a year. Last I
heard the glider was being shipped to NZ. Garry was moving back there
too. He was also building a nice single seat self launcher for kit
production.
