39th  FAI  Nationals                           GULGONG                                        18th Feb ‘01

Hi All,

Here is the missing  .xls file...I had a problem sending with the other files earlier today.

My lay day so some early snippets.

Forecast is for blue thermals to 3500 ft agl  going to maybe 4500 agl to the west,  with an inversion and predicted temp trace preventing convection any higher than 4500ft.

Set taskes are triangles of 312klm for Open;  18M and 15M classes with Std set 286 klms.

At time of writing this,  there is an indication that 10,000ft may be being achieved out to the west. The guess is that shear wave is present  OR the inversion has been broken through.

The dayhas been better than forecast. As I send this the guys are final glide & only 25-30 klms out.
