I grew up near Siding springs, and about 20 years ago, there was great deal
of concern then as to the amount of light pollution that was end emitted.
There was even talk of curbing farmers from working tractors at night!
I have a [large] copy of this image I purchased some years ago from an
Australian Geographic shop, and have yet to frame. On it the southern and
northern lights are very easily seen.
