Saturday was rather ordinary and I didn't get out at all.
Sunday was very differend - between two frontal systems (I think that's what
it was) a day with strong winds (20 kt NW) and strong thermals developed.
Believe only Neill Burns and yours truly ventured from Bacchus. I tried to
beat up wind to Ballarat only to be defeated twice by overdeveloping streets
and close to the ground. Should have gone crosswind towards the coast,
looked more consistent there.
Neill, if you read this, where did you go?
Anyway - 3 1/2 most enjoyable hours with climbs up to 6 kt to cloud base at
6,000 feet. Not much for the better regions of Oz but paradise for Bacchus
late March.
