Is there any documentation on how this category works? As I understand
it, it is nothing like the US experimental category,
in that you don't design something to go into this category, your
machine has to end up in one of the existing categories,
which at this point in time for a rigid wing 3-axis sailplane is
basically the GFA. The Australian experimental category, as
I understand it just allows you to get a restricted permit to fly so
that you can "prove" your design by accumulating something
like 50hrs airtime. Is this right or just bar room thermals?
Is there anywhere on the web where the experimental category is
explained? On the Casa web page somewhere?
