Jason,
Thanks for the info.  Someone put me on to the Wings and Wheels web site at <www.wingsandwheels>. There I found a diagram which I hope will do the trick.  If I get stuck, I'll try Arnie and Beryl.

Brian

Our Club has several of these units doing service in our Club fleet.  Apart from having no reverse polarity protection which lets the smoke out (this from someone who has found out the hard way when red and black leads were swapped over between the battery and the panel), they are a fairly good unit.  The main problem I am aware of is that the mechanism on the decadic rotary channel selection switches tends to wear out over time and has to be replaced - finding the right switches and someone with sufficient patience and skill to replace them can be a problem (our current CFI has managed admirably to date !).

I think we get our units serviced by Arnie Hartley of Airborne Aviation at Narromine. You might like to contact him (he certainly has a range of manuals for all sorts of avionics bits and pieces).

The Terra company got swallowed up by Trimble (www.trimble.com) who still have a "Terra by Trimble" range of products.  You never know, they might be able to help out.

Can anyone advise me where I can obtain a manual for a Terra Transceiver Tx 720.  We have one which receives beautifully, but does not transmit effectively.  The local Avionics shop tells me the microphone works.  We are unwilling to spend more money with them. We suspect the wiring and want a manual so we can see how it should be.
