The Joey is an electronic barograph accepted by the IGC under the old
(before flight recorder) electronic barograph rules. It is valid as a
barograph for all badges and records but you cannot use the GPS recorder
function to verify turnpoints for badges or World records.
Frankly after the behaviour of the IGC over the Flight Recorder approval
issue I'm no longer interested in any of their Mickey Mouse badges or records.
Given that the only person interested in whether you have flown 50 or
300Km, broken a record or whatever is you, yourself perhaps you should just
fly the flight and know that you have done it. Do grown ups really need
more than that?
