This is the bit that shocks me! The pictures on their web site seem a bit misleading. They show the greenhouse canopy with cultivated and cropped land underneath. I'd like to see the crop that can stand ~70C! And another thing - how do you get the service personel to the turbine for servicing? What would the conditions be like? A chunk of concrete the size of a footy field and 1km high will certainly hold a lot of heat energy, so all the equipment will be running at temperatures too hot to handle in the usual sense, and will never cool down even if the heated air was diverted away from the tower for a week.
